Now in its 10th Year. We are proud to offer the original Historic Hendersonville Tour. This is our town, and we would like to show you what makes it special. This is not a "dusty old dates" tour. Our trolley tour is jam-packed with historical tidbits, oddities, appropriate reverence, and pure fun, with stops at significant historic locations. We offer tours anytime by trolley or bus to charters of 15 or more persons. In addition, we highly recommend guided walks: Mary Jo's Guided History Walks.

2-Hour Trolley Tours

  • This tour is only available for charters of 15 or more.
  • $22.00/adults
  • $15.00/children 5-12
  • 4 years & under free with a paying adult. One child per adult.
  • (Cancellations made less than 7 days before departure are not refundable.)
  • This tour begins at 10 AM at the Visitor's Center, 201 South Main Street.

3-hour Trolley tours

  • This tour is available for charters of 15 or more.
  • $29.95/adults, $27.95/Seniors (55+)
  • $22.50/children 5-12
  • 4 years & under free with a paying adult. One child per adult.
  • Includes an ice cream cone at World Famous Piggy's.

  • Mountain Inn and Suites (755 Upward Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731) Directions: I-26, Exit 53 Upward Road, top of the ramp, turn left. Mountain Inn and Suites is on the left.
  • The Hampton Inn (155 Sugarloaf Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792). Directions: I-26, Exit 49A, at US 64E, 1st light (Waffle House on corner), turn right. The Hampton Inn is on the right.
  • The Visitor's Center (201 South Main Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792)

Mary Jo's History Walks

Mary Jo – a journalist and editor who also leads guided walks in Paris, France, on the American Revolution history there – conducts guided history walks for groups of 8 or more in Hendersonville.

Guided Walks in Hendersonville

Stroll with her along Main Street to be charmed by the town's fascinating history, historic architecture, and those long-ago shoot-outs, bordellos, and glittering eras. Or join her along the pathways of Hendersonville's Historic Oakdale Cemetery, where the famous "Look Homeward Angel" statue is located. Grave markers can tell interesting stories and whisper secrets...so come along to discover Hendersonville's buried past.
